Greenberg Ice Pavilion | Penn State University – One NHL Sheet – 2000 Seating
The Greenberg Ice Pavilion at Penn State University has been a central piece of student life at the University for many years.
The students and neighbors have enjoyed figure skating, hockey and the weekly birthday parties. The building and interiors have aged gracefully and refrigeration system was beyond it’s prime. It was determined by the University that the old direct freon system to create Ice was antiquated and in disrepair.
The University decided it was time to replace the refrigeration system and to install a new snow melting pit and locker rooms. Also a fresh coat of paint, new floor, remodeled rooms and a new mechanical and dehumidification system were to also be installed.
A LEED design was created to solve the issues and improve the appearance of the Ice Pavilion. At the end of design, the University decided to build a new NCAA DIV I venue for hockey. Visit The Penn State Ice Pavilion at Penn State – Greenberg Ice Pavilion
